Crewe vs Accrington – Tips and Betting Predictions

League Two, kick-off at 3:00pm Saturday 21st October 2017 from Gresty Road

Crewe v Accrington Tips

Accrington have been seen stumbling in recent weeks, but remain in the top-five in League Two and could progress to the medal positions with three points on Saturday. To have any chance of achieving that they must go to Gresty Road and beat locals Crewe, who can be found kicking their heels down in 17th.

These sides met three times last season, serving up a total of nine goals, including a 3-2 Stanley win back in April. Neutrals will be hoping this match keeps pace, giving us another entertaining 90 minutes. Will there be goals, how many, and to who? Our team of football judges give their verdict, advising shrewd betting tips and predictions.

Team News – Crewe

Crewe have managed to put just five wins on the board from 14 attempts, which doesn’t inspire confidence in the locals amongst punters. They have, however, banked two of those victories in their last three outings, raising optimism amongst followers, who hope for, at least, the safety of midtable. They finished 17th last term, and would probably take a repeat.

A win over Stevenage was undone by defeat to Yeovil on the road, but they got back on track last time out, beating Notts County 2-0 at Gresty on Tuesday. Raynes broke the deadlock just before the break that day, before Bowery put the tie to bed with a second on 66 minutes. David Atell’s outfit deserved the points, and they got them. During October, they’ve won their two home games without conceding.

Another win to nil? Well, that’s asking a favour, but you can get on at 4/1 with Bet Victor, a price available with most decent firms. Nice, but it’s not for us, we look elsewhere for the main interest in our betting tips and predictions. If you do rate the chances of The Railwaymen, but prefer to keep it simple, have a home nod at 2/1 with bet365. The draw is a 9/4 play with the same shop.

Team News – Accrington

Stanley supporters have had plenty more to shout about this season, and after a lowly 13th place finish last time, they can be seen holding their own up in fifth, just three points behind Exeter and the top-three, pace-setters Luton within touching distance, currently four ahead. Opponents Crewe have won two of their last three, but Accrington have lost two of their most recent trio.

Victory over Coventry at home, courtesy of a hard-fought 1-0 score, remains sandwiched between defeats to Luton and Stevenage. They were well beaten by The Hatters, which did their chances of gaining automatic promotion no good at all, but were rather unfortunate vs Stevenage earlier this week. Beaten by the odd-goal in five, Stevenage nicked the points at home thanks to strikes from Kennedy and a Godden golden double. All three came in the second-45, bettering goals from Clark and Kee.

John Coleman’s team went into the half-time break 1-0 up that night, and there would have been a few frank discussions taking place at training since. Will the players heed the warnings at that defeat? We’ll soon find out. An away win is favourite, and if you fancy a go, bet at Betfair, as they are top price 6/4. Making money in gambling is all about getting the best for your stake money.

Crewe vs Accrington – League Two Tips and Betting Predictions

Stanley are wobbling, but do deserve to be favourites, and I think they’ll get back on the bike with a win. Having said that, Crewe are growing in confidence, so we’re having both teams to score as the NAP of our betting tips. Get on board at Paddy Power and they’ll drop a useful 4/6 into your account if we’re on the money.

Worth a place in your multiples, but if landing a knockout punch is more your thing, a play in the correct score market is a better tactic. Keep your stakes down to interest level and have 3-1 Stanley as the next best of your predictions at 19/1 (Bet Victor). Plenty of luck needed, but both sides will fancy this, so we should have an open 90 minutes ahead.
