Tottenham vs Bournemouth – Tips and Betting Predictions

Premier League, kick-off at 3:00pm Saturday 14th October 2017 from Wembley

Tottenham v Bournemouth Tips

Tottenham look to shake the monkey from their back at Wembley when hosting Bournemouth on Saturday. Last season’s runners up, just like West Ham the year before, have struggled to find their feet against an unfamiliar backdrop, but they also have to contend with opponents raising their game at the national stadium. That resulted in a below par start.

Spurs appear to be well along the road to recovery however, and victory on Saturday, against an opponent second bottom of the league, would see the Londoners complete a hat-trick of wins. They eased to a 4-0 when last hosting The Cherries. Bookmakers expect something similar. We’ve had our say – read on for match predictions and betting tips.

Team News – Tottenham

14 points on the board has Spurs third, five off joint leaders Manchester City and Manchester United. They’re one better than last season’s champions Chelsea, and go into this having banked six points from the last six available, pulling rank over West Ham and Huddersfield. Two sides they should really be beating, but the fact Pochettino’s men scored seven goals shows us the mood in the camp at present.

They’ve also been handling business in the Champions League, hammering Borussia Dortmund at this arena last month, before making light work of APOEL Nicosia on the road. Kane grabbed a double against The Terriers before the international break, and is now into his stride, which we all knew would happen sooner rather than later. There was also goals for Davies and Sissoko last time. Back Harry Kane to score first on Saturday at 9/5, a price available with most firms, while those looking for a bit more of a safety net can try the anytime market at 4/11, standout at William Hill.

Tottenham are favourites for the points, and there won’t be a rush of punters arguing against that, even those loyal to the Bournemouth cause. They are at home and, despite their teething problems, have more than enough talent in their ranks to boost their tally by three. Home cheer in your betting tips and predictions will earn you 2/9 through Sportingbet. -1 on the handicap makes more appeal, 8/13 trading at Betfair.

Team News – Bournemouth

It’s difficult to make a case for Bournemouth beating Tottenham, especially as they have managed just one win so far this season. The spare in that run came three starts ago, beating Brighton 2-1 at home in the league. They then went and beat the same opponent a few days later in the EFL Cup, but there wasn’t too much in either, ending 2-1 and 1-0. The Cherries did get a goalless draw vs Leicester last time out.

That will help their cause, but The Foxes are struggling themselves, so we won’t get carried away with the point. Bournemouth had more of the ball that day, and an incredible 19 shots at goal, but put just four of them on target, which is woeful. Despite that, boss Eddie Howe labelled it a very good performance, taking heart from the number of chances created in the match. If they can keep that going, he’s confident goals will come.

Bournemouth were unable to find the net there, and have drawn a blank in each of their last three meetings with Tottenham. That’s worth keeping in mind, and you will find a cracking 21/20 at Sportingbet on them not to score again. If you think they’ll get one in front of a bumper audience, jump on William Hill’s 10/11. Much more likely than the away win, which stands as big as 17/1 with Bet Victor. A chunky price, but that’s fair enough.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth – Premier League Tips and Betting Predictions

Bournemouth are down on their luck, and won’t fancy a trip to Wembley to play a Spurs side growing in confidence. Therefore, we’re going to have Tottenham to win to nil as the NAP of our betting tips, which comes out as a 21/20 shot when playing at Boylesports. Spurs’ last two wins in all competitions would have boosted your balance on that one.

A strong home cheer expected, we’d happily go further and try our luck on the correct score market, where 3-0 rates as the next best of our predictions. Kane and his boys won that way vs APOEL in the Champions League recently, and put four past Huddersfield on the road. That’s favourite, but Betfair’s 7/1 makes it worth a go.
