Ross County vs Hamilton – Tips and Betting Predictions

Scottish Premiership, kick-off at 3:00pm Saturday 21st October 2017 from Victoria Park

Ross County v Hamilton Tips

We’re back in Dingwall this weekend as punters turn their sights on Ross County’s home match with Hamilton at Victoria Park. I’d be surprised to see either side threaten the top-six places this season, meaning both managers are looking to put a bit of breathing space between themselves and the relegation zone. The best way to do that is with a convincing win.

Both are locked on seven points after nine games played, Accies better off in the goal-difference tally by two. The visitors go in on the back of a horrible losing streak however, and there’s plenty of smart money coming for them to go down again. We tell you how his match should go – follow our free Scottish Premiership betting tips and predictions.

Team News – Ross County

County are one place lower in the rankings, but have been showing signs of improvement under new manager Owen Coyle. The experienced gaffer is expected to haul his men away from the danger zone sooner rather than later. Will that turnaround begin on Saturday in front of their own fans? They’ve lost three of their last four, but did win the spare, beating Kilmarnock 2-0 at the end of September. That gave the locals something to build on, but they ended empty-handed last week.

Starting the month with a home tie vs Hearts, another who have failed to live up to expectations, the pair went into the break tied at 1-1, goals from Goncalves and Keillor-Dunn the main talking points. Craig Levein’s side were to go on and take the spoils however, long-term Rangers target Jamie Walker notching the winner. The Jambos then had Randall sent off on 65 minutes, but were able to hold on to that narrow lead.

County had less of the ball, but managed to fire 10 shots at goal, putting just four of them on target. That would suggest a need for shooting practice in training this week. Bookies have the local win priced as odd-on favourite, which goes as a bit of a surprise, 888Sport’s 5/6 the norm. That’s short enough, but we’re confident it’ll go in a fair share of betting tips and predictions.

Team News – Hamilton

Hamilton bring a record of two wins, one draw and six defeats, but they have fallen apart in recent weeks, and go in to this one having lost each of their last five. That run has dragged the visitors down to ninth in the table, leaving them just a point better than Kilmarnock in the relegation places, with Killie winning last time out. The time to panic has arrived.

Accies continued their losing ways, last seen sinking to Motherwell at home, in a match that ended 2-1 to The Steelmen. Skondras fired Hamilton ahead on 15 minutes, giving fans a rare reason to cheer, but it was painfully short-lived, goals from Rose and Hartley, one either-side of half-time, turning the game on its head. A hard-fought win, but there was no doubt Well deserved the maximum, and Hamilton deserved another painful loss.

Both teams have scored in each of the last three meetings of these sides, and you can take a pop on this one falling into line at 3/4 with Coral. That’ll work its magic in your accumulators, we’re sure, but there’s more to be had if you’re happy to pick sides. Hamilton win is 31/10 when getting your money down at Bet Victor, which makes them outsider of three in the match betting. That’s no surprise.

Ross County vs Hamilton – Scottish Premiership Tips and Betting Predictions

We’ve got to back Ross County here. They’re not a side we would ever describe as banker material, but Hamilton’s form shouldn’t be ignored, meaning we’re happy to take them on. Staggies win is the ace of our betting tips at Victoria Park, 5/6 (888Sport) able to do us a favour. That’s tight, and isn’t a price that’ll make you rich overnight, of course, but it is tailor made for multiples.

If odds-on shots aren’t your thing, we completely understand. They do serve a purpose at times, but there’s more out there if you’re happy to take a chance. Playing the correct score market, we’ll take 2-1 County at the head of our predictions, 15/2 available with most firms, including Betfair. Hamilton have lost three of their last four by that very score. Interesting.
