Stunning 15/1 winner – MLS betting just got interesting
A host of big matches on the domestic scene this weekend but winners are getting more and more difficult to find as teams with nothing to play for begin to wind down the clock towards a much-needed summer break.
It is therefore little surprise that the bulk of this weekend’s profits came from overseas. We’ve recently added Major League Soccer to our list of betting tips and followers who stayed up late to bet on the best USA had to offer will be glad we did with a 15/1 winner advised.
It may not be the most popular platform for British punters but if you’re able to get past the fact they call the beautiful game soccer – football a sport played with their hands – there are an abundance of riches on offer. We found them too.
Colorado took on Toronto on Saturday and our newly recruited team of American league experts told you it was worth backing the locals. That proved a shrewd move with Rapids taking the points almost without breaking sweat. Price set the pace for the match with a goal inside two minutes which allowed backers to enjoy the show and they had Gashi to thank for putting the tie to bed, netting a 78th minute penalty.
A nice price winner and one that would’ve looked great in your late-night accumulators but we took real pleasure from landing the correct score. As always we like to give an alternative play at big odds and it was a bet worth having, 2-0 Colorado given as the next best of our predictions and landing followers a chunky 15/1 pay-out. That sparked the weekend to life and ensured we were betting with the bookies’ money for the rest of the round.
There was 15/8 available on the match win which suggested odds compilers thought we were barking up the wrong tree but it’s always worth sticking with your first instinct when betting on football and prices should be the last thing you look at to avoid being swayed by the money men.

Underdogs value at 13/1 when backed into a corner
Back in England and there was something just as sweet from the lower leagues as we told you trusting Forest Green Rovers away to Cheltenham would pay off. FGR may be stuck at the wrong end of the table and involved in a relegation fight but it was that desperation for points that made them dangerous. The market said we were wrong but it was them eating humble pie.
Cheltenham had nothing to play for and their recent results proved that, going into the game with two defeats from three. Rovers had lost each of their last two but were backed into a corner and responded with a deserved away win, Christian Doidge rattling home a winner at the end of the first-half.
Our team of English football experts made the underdogs value at 3/1 and also advised grabbing your share of the 13/1 about a 1-0. We knew they’d nick the points but were well aware it was going to be tight.
Finishing off our favourite three bets from this weekend and we landed a blow on the bookies in Holland when backing Den Haag to beat Twente at home. A delightful 29/20 was shoved across the counter by Coral staff and that would’ve been enough to please most football betting sites.
Not as – we’re always looking for bigger and better. 2-1 ADO Den Haag gave us just that, a punt that came good thanks to a brace from Johnsen, one either-side of half-time. The match winner struck on 47 minutes – deep into stoppage time – and rounded things off with another on 75. Both goals came after FC Twente had taken a surprise lead, Jensen breaking the deadlock early in the contest. 29/20 on the match winner was nice – the 9/1 at Betfair on 2-1 was something special.
