Luton blast back to top of League Two with impressive win – our tipsters called it!
With many of the top leagues around Europe becoming a one-horse race going into spring it’s refreshing to see a respected division offering a genuinely competitive title race. Looking for honest football with managers operating on modest budgets and players scrapping for the futures? Search no further than League Two.
With 39 matches on the board just four points separates Luton Town in first and third-place Wycombe Wanderers. Sandwiched between the pair is Accrington Stanley. Both Luton and Accy are level on 74 points but the latter has the benefit of two games in hand. It’s a race to the flag that promises to be give us an interest all the way to the finish with each of the top-three sides dropping points in recent weeks.
It’s all great news for football fans but the unpredictability of it all may put punters off. Luton have won only one of their last five, showing draw-loss-draw-draw-win. Stanley are in a strong position, bringing draw-win-win-win-win. Wycombe are going nowhere, boasting lose-draw-win-win-draw.
League Two followers may have to put the work in to beat the bookies but they have our experts working on their side and we delivered a healthy profit at the weekend. With the major leagues taking a weekend off due to the international friendlies many backers were left scratching their head wondering where to get their fix of value. If you put your faith in our boys there was a big price pay-out in the post.
Nathan Jones watched on as his Hatters side blazed a trail of glory to the top of League Two during winter but they stumbled out in front as the weather began to improve, going into Saturday’s match at Kenilworth Road on the back of a nervy winless run. We didn’t blame anyone for opposing Luton but knew they had a big performance in them and told you as much.
Barnet easy to bet against?
Bottom-club Barnet are easy to oppose and we did just that, picking Luton to win at 4/7 as the NAP of our betting tips. That bet worked well in your weekend accumulators, helping boost returns and it came good without fuss. The teams locked at 0-0 going into the break Luton started the second period much the stronger side.
Hylton broke the deadlock with 47 minutes on the clock and that rapid response knocked the stuffing out of their opponents who had been told to build on a strong start and keep things tight at the back. Collins rifled in a second on 67 to finish the contest. The three points sent Luton back to the top of the tree and they’ll take some shifting going forward.
In our pre-match preview we also had value in mind. Our team of football experts like to give a NAP worth getting stuck into and a next best from the correct score field with bigger odds attached. William Hill were handing out a cracking 7/1 on Luton to win 2-0 and we knew that was the way to go. Congratulations if you were on.
