As well as your own ideas you’ll also be able to bet on the suggestions of fellow backers, and them yours, adding an exciting angle to your summer. Simply log onto the Coral site and access the specials tab under football and you’ll open-up a list of #YourCall markets.

These aren’t limited to the World Cup of course but the idea really comes into its own during the feast of football spanning June and July. Here’s a couple covering the England team that should make following the Three Lions a little more interesting…..

Germany have the edge over England

How far do you expect England to go in Russia? Play the stage of elimination market and you can have your say on the exact leg Gareth Southgate’s boys will bow out at. That could be after three group matches – just like in Brazil – it could be the quarter-finals or you could back them to get to the last two.

That market is available with most reputable firms but how about predicting the exact team that will knock England out. Could it be Germany again? Fans certainly hope not but the Germans have a history of inflicting hurt on England at major international football competitions and the head-to-head scores between the two sides stands at 7-3-6 in GDFB-Elf’s favour.

Concentrating solely on World Cup competition the teams last met in June 2010 when Germany strolled to a 4-1 success in South Africa thanks to goals from Klose, Podolski and a Muller double, Upson hit the consolation. England to be knocked out by Germany again – regardless of the score – is an eye-catching 7/2.

9/1 bet that’ll keep you busy

How about an enhanced odds accumulator that’ll give you an interest across a number of group matches? One shrewd Coral customer has come up with a multiple that does exactly that and it gives followers five plates to keep spinning before a dramatic final round of fixtures.

England, Spain, Germany, Brazil and Belgium all to qualify for the quarter-finals at 9/1.

England and Belgium share Group G with Panama and Tunisia and both teams doing as expected and securing their passage looks banker material. Spain are up against it vs Portugal, Morocco and Iran but should go through.

Germany won’t let us down against Mexico, Sweden and South Korea while improvement is expected from a Brazil side who were below-par four years ago in their own competition. The Samba Boys play Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia.

It’s a bet that has a great chance of coming good at a fantastic price and, for your stake money, you’ll also get the chance to follow the early rounds of the World Cup with interest, checking the progress of all five teams.

If you have a bet of your own to suggest and it hasn’t already been priced up, simply open an account with Coral through our site and make your suggestions to the football traders.
