Breeders Cup Turf

The 2015 Breeders Cup Turf will be run at Keeneland, just outside Lexington, Kentucky. We’ve been scouring the odds for this, and have a fabulous enhancement for the main event, the Longines Turf at 8:50pm on Saturday night.

This particular enhancement is on Golden Horn, and with 7 wins from 8 races, will start the race tomorrow as a massive odds-on favourite. This race will be his last ever, and we’ve got a fantastic price that says he’ll make it 8 wins from 9!

Breeders’ Cup Turf information and preview

Run over 1 1/2 miles on the grass, this race is for thoroughbreds of 3 years and older. Part of the attraction is that the race regularly moves from course to course, sometimes with a couple of years stay at the same location. This year marks the first race in Kentucky since 2011, when it was held across the state at Churchill Downs.

It’s a big event, and tends to attract the top jockeys and mounts from North America and across the pond in Europe. Many big name jockeys have come across for a couple of rides here and then home again. The history of the event show that the slightly older horses are generally more successful, with only four 3 year olds managing to win the race in the last 20 years! However, this looks likely to change this year with 3 year Golden Horn the odds-on favourite ahead of the race. Across the board we’re looking at a best price of 4/6 (1.66 decimal), so the enhanced price above really does have appeal!
